This spring, UT Austin will transition from eProtocol IBC to a new module within UT Research Management Suite (UTRMS).
UTRMS-Safety will launch on May 11, 2026.
To prepare for this transition, this page serves as a central hub for training, documentation and support.
Key Dates
| Thursday, April 9 | 5 PM submission deadline for new protocols to be submitted in eProtocol (create button disabled) |
| Thursday, April 16 | 5 PM submission deadline for amendments to active protocols in eProtocol |
| Tuesday, April 21 | Last IBC Meeting to gain approval in eProtocol |
| Friday, April 24 | Last date to gain approval for all outstanding submissions and amendments |
| Monday, May 11 | UTRMS-Safety officially launches |

- Schedule an appointment with the IBC team for one-on-one support with new protocol creation, transitioning an existing protocol, or other processes in UTRMS-Safety.
