The JEOL 1400 is a 120 kV screening S/TEM equipped with a HR pole piece with a nominal resolution of 2.04 Å in imaging mode and 2 nm in STEM mode. It is equipped with a STEM bright field and dark field detector, an Oxford EDS detector, and a Gatan Clearview 4Kx4K scintillator-coupled CMOS detector. This tool is suitable for lower resolution room temperature imaging of fixed and stained biological samples and materials, as well as microED crystal screening and data collection on beam-resistant samples.
