UTRMS Animal Research Management Transition Hub

In Spring 2025, UT Austin will transition from the eProtocol IACUC and eAnimal Ordering systems to two new modules within UT Research Management Suite (UTRMS).

UTRMS-IACUC will transition on February 24, 2025, and UTRMS-AOps launches on March 10, 2025.

To prepare for this transition, this page serves as a central hub for training, documentation and support.

  • Final IACUC Committee Meeting before Go-Live

  • Animal Use Survey due

  • UTRMS-IACUC Go-Live

  • Researchers enter animal counts by end of month

There’s several ways to get help! To get help:

  • Submit a ticket to Research IT for technical and system support.
  • Work with the IACUC staff to get direct support for new protocol creation, transitioning a protocol, or other processes in UTRMS-IACUC. To request help, email IACUC at iacuc@austin.utexas.edu.
  • For questions and help with animal ordering, email ARC staff at arcinfo@austin.utexas.edu.
  • For UTRMS help and support, email the ERA Help Desk at era@austin.utexas.edu.
Training Opportunities

UTRMS-IACUC & -AOps Combined Overview

The overview session will be offered in a pair of identical Town Hall-style sessions held a month before launch. This session will provide high-level details on both systems, and will be recorded and available for viewing afterward. Click the links below to complete registration.
