Research Impact Partners

This summer program pairs 2-4 students with a Freshmen Research Initiative Research Stream for a unique two-hour tour of a real scientific laboratory.

The University of Texas at Austin is committed to fostering research-driven partnerships with universities across the Southwest to enhance capacity, strengthen collaboration, and increase competitiveness for external research funding. This initiative aims to establish new strategic connections, leverage existing partnerships, and create greater opportunities for researchers at UT Austin and institutions across the region to pursue funding together. We welcome participation from researchers at universities throughout the Southwest, including (but not limited to) Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.

The Statistics, Measurement, And Research design Techniques in Educational Research (SMARTER) consulting office provides support for College of Education faculty and graduate students’ research design and quantitative analysis needs. SMARTER can help by discussing any aspect of a quantitative study, from the specific, such as choosing a statistical model to address a research question, interpreting the results of an analysis, conducting a power analysis, or suggesting or critiquing a research design, to the general, such as assisting with formulation of research questions and statistical hypotheses or serving as a sounding board for research ideas.

UT Austin’s national award-winning STEM Girl Day is a FREE event, presented by Women in STEM, and gives K-8th grade students and their families, educators, and other adults a chance to explore STEM through grade-appropriate, hands-on activities hosted by scientists, engineers, astronomers, mathematicians and other STEM enthusiasts from student organizations, research centers, corporate partners and community organizations.

Provides rigorous, high-quality research and evaluation services that are customized to best serve each project's unique needs. TACC evaluators collaborate with PIs, researchers, administrators, staff, and key stakeholders to help shape the evaluation, inform data collection methods, and effectively use findings for improving programs and demonstrating impacts.

The Education and Outreach Directorate at the Texas Advanced Computing Center provides K-20 programming to address 21st-century workforce development needs. This includes STEM summer camps for middle school and high school students, research experiences for undergraduate students and educators, fellowships, internships, and public outreach.

Global partnerships support and expand UT Austin’s academic mission by connecting students, faculty and staff with partners and collaborators around the world, strengthening the impact of UT's research and integrating new perspectives into the teaching and learning taking place on campus.

A solutions-oriented organization where members identify issues impacting university-industry (U-I) relations and opportunities to develop new approaches to working together. UT Austin is a member of UIDP and anyone at UT can participate and access resources on external engagement topics: research administration, sponsored research contracting, workforce development, corporate engagement

The UTeach Institute supports the development of highly effective K–12 STEM teachers who stay in teaching and effectively engage all students in meaningful learning of STEM disciplines through research-based best practices in preservice teacher preparation, and in-service teacher induction, mentoring, and coaching. It serves as the hub to a vibrant national community of practice of more than 700 college and university STEM education experts and 5,000 K–12 STEM teachers. UTeach Institute develops innovative K–12 coursework and teacher professional learning that strengthens STEM teacher effectiveness and engagement and preparation of K–12 students across STEM disciplines.
