While not all program or funding announcements contain specific statements as to the applicability of FCOI regulations, agencies do list their award management guidelines on their websites. Prior to submitting a proposal, check for relevant FCOI requirements on the agency’s website. The NIH Grant Policy Statement (GPS) and the HHS GPS both contain the FCOI requirement, so if the agency lists HHS or NIH GPS as applicable, then the FCOI regulations will apply.

The Office of Research Support and Compliance oversees the Conflict of Interest Policy and Procedures at UT. Questions about disclosing and managing conflicts of interest should be directed to that office.
