Bruker Autoflex maX

MALDI (Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization): A soft ionization technique ideal for polymers, peptides, intact proteins, and various compounds.

  • Process: The sample is mixed with a matrix in solution, spotted, dried, and crystallized on a plate. A nitrogen laser (335 nm) induces desorption and ionization, analyzed by a TOF mass analyzer
  • Instrument: Autoflex offers high resolution (reflectron mode for <5,000 Da) and low resolution (linear mode for >5,000 Da)
  • Self-service access is available following required user training.

Applications

  • Chemical, peptide, protein, metabolite, MW determination, unlimited mass range
  • MS/MS fragmentation spectra for structural characterization or peptide sequencing
  • Polymer analysis with Polymerix software
