The University of Texas at Austin uses Cayuse424 for its Grants.gov proposal submissions to federal sponsors. Cayuse424 is a web-based system that allows users to prepare and manage their proposals more effectively and it allows OSP greater submission stability and success rates.
If an opportunity published on the Grants.gov site is available in Cayuse, The Office of Sponsored Projects requires the use of Cayuse424 to prepare and submit said proposals.
Submitting Other Grants.gov Proposals
For Grants.gov proposals that are not supported by Cayuse:
- Go to https://www.grants.gov/ and click the link that is labeled “Apply for Grants”
- Search for the grant application package with the relevant CFDA number and/or Funding Opportunity number (from the solicitation).
- click “Download grant application packages.”
- Fill out the application and submit it to OSP via the RMS document upload feature. Make sure all attachments within the application are in accordance with guidelines published by the sponsor for the solicitation.
Sending Your Proposal to OSP
Cayuse is a separate system than OSP’s internal system, RMS (Reseach Management System). Preparing a proposal in Cayuse does not alert OSP staff that a proposal is awaiting review. The same is true for application packages downloaded from the Grants.gov site.
To place your proposal in the queue for review and for submission, fill out a Proposal Review Form (PRF) electronically through RMS https://utdirect.utexas.edu/rms/index.WBX.
Do not send your application by email to OSP.
