IBC Review and Approval
- IBC meets regularly (usually monthly). Holidays may require meetings to be rescheduled and/or combined.
- Protocols submitted after the submission deadline will be held for the next IBC meeting
Approval Periods and Annual Renewal
All research teaching, and testing activities that involves recombinant or synthetic nucleic acid molecules and biohazardous materials, agents, and toxins must have IBC approval before work can begin and must maintain IBC approval while conducting research, teaching and testing activities with these materials. Required training and lab inspection must be completed before IBC approval is granted.
- eProtocols may be approved for up to 3 years
Completion of all biosafety training is required for approval of IBC protocols
Required Lab Inspection
Current approved lab biosafety manual and lab inspection is required for approval of IBC protocols
