As we kick off Women’s History Month, we remember Marye Anne Fox who established the first Office of the Vice President for Research at The University of Texas at Austin in 1994.

The Bold Inquiry Incubator program is an opportunity for PIs to further develop and refine their research vision and to plan for securing sustaining external funding for their work, while collaborating with a cohort of talented individuals who share their passion for groundbreaking research and discovery. The inaugural cohort consists of six teams – three incubator and three seed teams – from across diverse disciplines.

While technologies have advanced rapidly, archaeological digs remain as laborious today as they were a century ago. New tools have accelerated the pace at which one might be able to find what lies beneath the ground, but they haven’t eliminated the need for getting down on your hands and knees and delicately assessing what might be there.

The Office of the Vice President for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors and the University Co-operative Society are pleased to announce and congratulate the 2023 winners of the University Co-op Research Excellence Awards and the winners of the 2023 Robert W. Hamilton Book Awards.

Research administrators usually work behind the scenes of the research enterprise, they were in the spotlight at the National Research Administration Day Celebration. The event is held annually by the UT Austin Association of Research Administrators and the Office of the Vice President for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors.
