The course is intended for faculty, staff and students who are engaged or plan to be engaged in human subject research. Topics covered include the following: the role of the UT IRB and a brief overview of the ethical principles of human subjects research, how to determine if IRB review is required, levels of review and review timelines, IRB submission process, overview of what is needed for a submission and what to expect in your review, and time for Q&A.
