The How and Why of Contacting a Program Officer

Program Officers (POs) for federal funding agencies like NSF, NIH, and NEH, as well as private foundations, play a valuable role in connecting your research to their agencies’ broader goals. How do you maximize your relationship with a program officer and successfully communicate the value of your research? Join us for this workshop in which we’ll cover the “how and why” of reaching out to a PO, whether you’re pitching a new project or refining a long-term goal. We’ll then apply this knowledge in a facilitated writing session to draft your initial communications with them.
