Agreements Module is Now Live – May 2020
Agreements launched on April 20, 2020. Beginning June 1, all new non-funded research agreements must be submitted through the Agreements module.
Agreements Module is approved for Go-Live! – April 2020
After shifting our release timeline to accommodate the University’s COVID-19 response mandating telecommuting, the Agreements module is ready for release! Beginning April 20th,users who have received training in the system should begin using UT Research Management Suite – Agreements to submit all new non-funded research agreement requests.

After meeting with central office staff, researchers, and departmental administrative support staff to assess workflow and reporting requirements, the IRB module is now in development phase.
Agreements Training Begins – March 2020
The project team is training central office staff and high-volume end users to navigate and operate in the Agreements Module.

Implementation of UT Research Management Suite continues with onboarding and development of the IRB module. IRB will manage administration, workflow and compliance oversight for human studies research at UT Austin.

RMS Replacement Project renamed UT Research Management Suite – July 2019
After evaluating a variety of options in consultation with project sponsors and UT Communications, RMS was renamed to account for its expanded functionality and the consolidation of awards administration and compliance management.
Project Discovery Period Completed – June 2019
Business processes were carefully evaluated at all institutional levels resulting in a scope of work that will include implementation of electronic management tools for the management of Agreements, IRB, Grants, COI, and IACUC.
Vendor Selected – January 2019
After a thorough evaluation of institutional needs and available resources, an evaluation committee selected Huron Consulting as our partner for implementation of the new electronic research management and compliance components.
