STARTUPS PRESENT A NUMBER OF CHALLENGES, whether you are a seasoned faculty entrepreneur or just undertaking your first university spinoff. What are the ownership and protection issues? What are the funding and capital requirements? What are the key contractual issues? What kind of management team should I assemble to ensure success? Is my technology ready? How do I avoid costly mistakes and evade the pitfalls?

To answer these questions and more, UT’s Office of Technology Commercialization has assembled an A-team of experts to explain the complexities of startup licensing at the university.

Dr. Bob Metcalfe, professor of innovation at UT Austin, and fellow panelists share their expertise on university startups.
