About Sponsored Projects Awards Administration
Sponsored Projects Awards Administration (SPAA) provides services to the University of Texas research community including sponsored project award account (26- account) setup, sponsor billing and collection, financial reporting to sponsors and outside agencies, certain requisition review and approvals, award final closeout, audit response and support, and training. SPAA’s goal is to help make research happen through campus support with financial management of sponsored awards.
SPAA’s Team of Grants and Contracts Specialists and Research Administrators is led by Associate Director Jason Richter (see the SPAA Organization Chart). SPAA’s normal hours of office availability are weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
