New UT Research Management Suite - Agreements Module
Beginning June 1, 2020, all new non-funded research agreements will need to be submitted through the UT Research Management Suite - Agreements Module. MISSION: The Office of Industry Engagement (OIE) was formed in 2010, charged with negotiating all UT Austin research contracts funded solely by private industry.

RESPONSIVENESS: OIE endeavors to streamline negotiations of research agreements to better accommodate the cycles of industry funding, and assist UT faculty in their collaborative efforts with industry partners.

COORDINATION: OIE offers specialized contractual expertise, with support from the PI and OTC, to develop appropriate intellectual property models for sponsored research. OIE collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to promote successful research collaborations at UT Austin.

FLEXIBILITY: OIE strives to provide responsive and professional solutions, with a focus on flexible engagements and expedited contractual negotiations.
