Health & Humanities Pop-Up Public Symposium
The Health and Humanities Pop-Up Institute will host a free, public symposium to conclude the Health and Humanities Pop-Up Institute in May. The Symposium will feature panels of research faculty and staff and a keynote lecture, “Structural Competency, 5 Years On: Tracking a New Medical Approach to Stigma and Inequality,” by Jonathan Metzl, the Frederick B. Rentschler II Professor of Sociology and Psychiatry, and the Director of the Center for Medicine, Health, and Society, at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
