F31 & F32 NIH Fellowship Workshop – Summer 2019

MEET WEEKLY: Tuesdays at 2PM in NMS 3.106

This workshop, hosted by the LaMontagne Center for Infectious Disease and the College of Natural Sciences, is focused on coaching graduate students and postdoctoral researchers through the process of compiling and writing the application components for Ruth L. Kirschtein NRSA F31 & F32 fellowship applications. Workshops begin two months prior to each of the three standard NIH deadlines in April, August and December.

The purpose of the Kirschstein-NRSA postdoctoral fellowship (F32) is to enhance the research training of promising postdoctoral candidates who have the potential to become productive, independent investigators in scientific health-related research fields relevant to the missions of the participating NIH Institutes and Centers.

Award eligibility: by the time of award, the individual must be a citizen or a non-citizen national of the United States or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence (i.e., possess a currently valid Permanent Resident Card USCIS Form I-551, or other legal verification of such status).

The applicant must show evidence of high academic performance in the sciences, and commitment to a research career.
