Data Management and Sharing Practices for NIH Funded Researchers and Beyond

The UT Libraries subject area liaison librarians and Research Data Services unit provide on-campus expertise in data management and sharing. Join us as representatives from UT Libraries provide an introduction to data management planning, tips for data sharing considerations (including selecting a repository and sharing sensitive data), and an overview of the new data management requirements specified by the NIH which will go into effect on 1/25/2023. Though this workshop will focus on new data management policies for NIH funded research, many of the principles of data management and sharing are applicable across funding agencies and we welcome you to join us regardless of funding source.

The first half of the presentation will cover general data management best practices, and the second half will focus on health data and NIH policy changes.
